You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker however you will not receive any rebate for your consultation. If you obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP you will be eligible to receive a rebate of $96.65 for psychology and $85.20 for social work from Medicare. You are eligible to receive a rebate for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year as well as 10 group sessions.

We accept referrals from not only GP’s, but also psychiatrists, DVA, NDIS and other third party sources. With regards to NDIS referrals we only see plan or self-managed clients.
