Our Psychologists are registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and therefore abide by the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics. Our social workers are registered with the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers)

All clients under the age of 15 require a parent session for the parents/guardians to see their therapist. Clients over the age of 15 are able to see a therapist without a parent session.

Clients are required to complete an intake form and provide personal and payment details, to engage with psychological care at Lakeside Allied Health. Intake forms are sent electronically after booking.

To receive a Medicare rebate with a psychologist or accredited mental health social worker clients need a Mental Health Care Plan or Eating Disorder Plan from their GP,  if eligible.

We do our best to monitor the amount of sessions clients have had and send reminders when clients require a MHCP/EDP review. Although the responsibility remains with the client to ensure the referral is up to date, in order to receive rebates.

Registered Psychologist rebates for 51 minute consultations are $96.65. Accredited mental health social worker rebates for 51 minutes consultations are $85.20.

We are unable to process private health insurance claims and therefore clients must pay in full and then submit a claim themselves with their fund. Please note clients cannot claim through Medicare and Private Health Insurance at the same time.

If you are plan-managed we will send the invoice to your plan management for payment. Self-managed patients need to pay at the end of your consultation.
