CURRENTLY ACCEPTING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR AN UPCOMING GROUP
At times parents feel lost and confused about what our kids might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you could make sense of what your child was asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
Using the COSP model, developed by the Circle of Security originators, our trained Facilitators work with parents and caregivers to help them to:
• Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read and understand emotional needs
• Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
• Enhance the development of their child’s self-esteem
• Honour the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is helpful for almost all parents, specifically parents interested in the following:
Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is designed for parents and carers of children of all ages. Most of the video-based resources show children aged 0-6, however we have found that as our need for secure relationships remains throughout the lifespan, parents of children of all ages benefit from attending.
We deliver Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) in a group format, face-to-face. COSP uses a format of watching copyrighted videos and then subsequent guided discussions and activities across each 90-minute session. Unfortunately, COSP sessions are unable to be recorded due to copyright and privacy reasons and therefore it is necessary to attend the sessions live.
The cost for our online Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) groups is $25 per 90-minute session (total $200) for the full 8-week course. Your partner can join in on all the sessions for a small extra cost at registration ($5 extra per session, paid in full). You may be able to get a rebate via your private health fund – contact us here if you require an itemised invoice. The full course cost must be paid upfront and this is non-refundable once the course has commenced.
Session fees for individual, catch-up sessions vary, and are based on the clinician’s usual hourly rate. Rebates may apply with a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan, or through your private health fund.
NDIS participants may be able to use NDIS funding for COSP, depending on whether this course is aligned with plan goals.
